The Beyond the Number Project has three simple goals:

– Show that weight loss is more than a number on a scale.

– Show that age is not defined by a number.

– Raise money for every pound and waistline inch lost, or cholesterol number dropped.

Over the next several months, I will be embarking on a journey that will show how weight loss isn’t just about the scale – it is about losing inches off your waistline, lowering your cholesterol numbers, lowering your body fat percentage, and more – and how your age is not defined by your birthdate, but rather by the age of your health – how a 35-year-old can have the “health and body age” of a 20-something, for example.

Each week, I will share tips I have gathered from my career as a health and fitness editor and writer. You can also check out my weight loss blog with more detailed information from the many experts I interview on a daily basis, including tips from my team – people I have grown to trust for the best weight loss, nutrition, fitness, anti-aging, and lifestyle tips and strategies.

And most importantly, I will be donating money to several charities for every pound, inch, or cholesterol number dropped.
